Come this September, it will all change.
After endless hours of careful planning and decision-making, we will be holding a casual trip to the mother of our interests; 대한민국, South Korea.
Since this trip is our first trip, and is a trip that is solely our own event (Ngee Ann Polytechnic is not funding or giving us any form of subsidization), we have requirements.
Requirements as follows;
- You will have to be a member of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Korean Cultural Club.
- We will not accept participants who are not members of our club. Friends of members, family members, stalkers, fellow fans, pets; if you're not a member, we're sorry but, perhaps you could join us next year when you are members~
- If you're not turning 18 by the end of 2013, we're afraid we can't let you come along.
- This is, however, subject to change. In the event where we do not get good responses from your 선배님들 (seonbaenims/seniors), we will open up applications for the lot of you born in 1996.
- This is the most important requirement. Please be INSURED.
- Insurance is not included. Make sure that you are insured. If you do not have any insurance, and you're still going to go on with this trip, we will not be held responsible for any mishaps.
These are the only two requirements that you would need to be eligible for this trip.
If you can meet these requirements and you are interested, below are the details of this trip.
- Length of Stay : 1st September - 6th September 2013 (5 days & 5 nights)
- Flight : Scoot
- Lodging : Backpacker Mr. Sea Guesthouse
The guesthouse we will be staying in is a quaint guesthouse in an absolutely amazing neighbourhood called Hyehwa. It's no five star hotel, but it provides an extensive Korean living experience. The guesthouse is surrounded by tiny shops, the subway is only a short walk away and since it's where Sungkyunkwan University is, the area is bustling with youth.
Unlike other tours groups, we want to provide our participants with an authentic Korean travelling experience. We will be travelling as foreigners in Korea, but not as tourists. We will also not be completely planning the trip by ourselves. We want this to be YOUR trip. Once we've gotten hold on the confirmed participants, we will rendezvous and discuss how we want our trip to work out!
Now for the most important bit; the COST of the trip.
The cost includes the following;
- Flight Tickets
- Accommodation
- Transportation
- Fixed Entrance Fees
The total cost will add up to : SGD $1100
If you are interested, please fill out this form, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dEI4bHZudWVXZHBkWHdiUUFOTWhsN3c6MA
Filling out the application form alone does not secure your spot for this trip. We are accepting up to 15 people for trip. However, if cannot get at least 8 people to join us, the trip will be cancelled. So do ask your fellow KCC friends to come along!
To be list as a confirmed participant (listed here), you will have to make payment of the first $700 by the 15th of July, Monday, 9PM.
If you fail to do so, you will be removed from the list. However, if we manage to get a whooping response for this trip, we will extend the dateline.
Do note that once payment has been made, it is strictly non-refundable.
How can you make payment?
We will open up 4 ways for you to easily make payment.
